Prayer Walk – Friday 23rd October, at 9.30 a.m.
Please gather at the junction of Southlands Avenue and Green Lane. We will be walking along streets to be prayed for this week: Southlands Avenue, Aldford Way, Romiley Square, Calveley Walk and Byley Rise.
Funeral for Evelyn Stafford
The funeral of Evelyn Stafford will take place at Charnock Richard crematorium on Monday 26th October at 1:30pm.

Shoebox Appeal
If you are donating to the Shoebox appeal this year, please can you wrap your shoebox in bright Christmas wrapping paper and pass it onto Sue Oliver, who will fill them.
The Lectio Course
At Aspull Methodist church – (5 Sessions). Starting on Tuesday 10th November at 7pm.
Each session has been designed for small groups to watch together and discuss. Each session comes with a discussion guide and practical activities to help you go deeper in your own relationship with God. Each session is a 15-minute video, which we’ll watch together, and then we’ll engage with the material using the course discussion guides. Each session episode is led by Pete Greig and features an interview with a special guest.

Church Gardening Club
How would you like to spend an hour or two maximum in the open air with a group likeminded people, once a fortnight, during Spring, Summer and early Autumn, to do some light exercise and helping to look after the Community Garden at the rear of the Church? If this appeals to you and you would like to join a new group at Church doing this please speak to Rev Chris Shelley. All ages and abilities welcome and you don’t need to be a Monty Don!
Prayer Circle
As part of the Pastoral Work in our church, we have a group of people who regularly pray in their private prayer time for our church and other concerns. Luncheon Club

Share and Grow
Meetings take place on alternate Wednesdays in the Primary from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm. The next Share and Grow meeting will be on 21st October.

Ladies Group - Wednesday Group Meetings
The next meeting is on Wednesday 4th November with Jim Meehan giving a talk on Wigan History “Barberous Murder of Wigan Lane.” Wednesday Group Meetings are held monthly on the First Wednesday in the month. Cost £3.
Men's Fellowship Group
The next meeting is on Wednesday 11th November. The speaker is Lesley Price on the subject “Wall Hey Pit Furnace – Haigh.” Meetings are held in the upper room of the Globe Inn. 7 pm for 7-30 pm. The Cost is £10.00 and includes a buffet supper. There is a £3 raffle draw and all proceeds go to local charities

Coffee Morning
Our popular coffee morning and warm hub takes place every Thursday from 10-30 am until noon. Hot drinks, tea cakes and crumpets are available alongside the chat and laughter.
